This deep-ruby-colored wine offers a bouquet of black cherry and caramel, with a hint of marjoram. A framework of compact tannins plays host to flavors of blackberry jam, anisette, rose petal, cocoa butter and dried hillside herbs. Tannins come on pretty strong, but bright acidity from first sip to finish balances out the palate.
